MGM has become the first major studio to offer its content on a popular video site. According to Variety, MGM has signed a pact with YouTube to stream its content on the video-sharing site.

Until now, YouTube had only streamed indie fare and just clips of studio movies, but this marks the first deal to allow full streams of a major studio's films and TV content.

The deal will be limited, however, as the studio will not be streaming any of its James Bond films through the deal. MGM will make available such films as Bulletproof Monk, The Magnificent Seven and its TV property American Gladiators in its entirety.
