The direct-to-DVD platform is growing bigger every day. That doesn't mean the films are getting any better. According to Variety, MGM is planning on producing a home video version of Brian De Palma's classic 1980 thriller Dressed to Kill.

Rick Alexander has been tapped to write the screenplay. He is currently producing a direct-to-DVD remake of Conan The Barbarian, also for MGM.

MGM is planning on releasing around twelve or more of these direct-to-DVD films per year. We can look for Dressed to Kill sometime early next spring.
