Mia Wasikowska is in talks to replace Emma Stone in Guillermo del Toro's upcoming goth horror Crimson Peak. Benedict Cumberbatch, Charlie Hunnam and Jessica Chastain are already attached to star.

Plot details are being held under wraps on the haunted house thriller, but Mia Wasikowska would play a young author named Edith Cushing. Benedict Cumberbatch and Jessica Chastain are co-starring as a pair of siblings from a aristocratic family.

Guillermo del Toro is directing from a script he co-wrote with Matthew Robbins and Lucinda Coxon. Legendary Pictures will be producing.

Mia Wasikowska most recently starred in Chan-wook Park's Stoker. She will next be seen in David Cronenberg's drama Maps to the Stars.

No production schedule has been released.
