A popular board-game craze will get the big-screen treatment from none other than Michael Bay. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bay, his Platinum Dunes shingle and Hasbro are set to bring the spiritual Ouija Board game to life on the silver screen for Universal Pictures.

David Berenbaum (Elf) will write the project. Although the project's plotline is under wraps, it is said that the film will be a supernatural thriller, in which this game will play a pivotal part of the story. It is also said that the film won't be in the vein of Jumanji, with the board game coming to life. Bay is set to produce the film, but there is no indication that he will direct as well.

Hasbro's Parker Brothers line has produced the board game since 1966. No production schedule has been released.
