Michael Bay has plans to develop an upcoming World War II action thriller titled Sabotage at Paramount.

Based on a non-fiction book by author Neal Bascomb, the story is set in 1942 and centers on a scientist that gets away from the Gestapo to let the allies know that the Nazis are building a nuclear bomb. The program is taking place in an industrial fortress called Vermork, which is located deep in the mountains of Norway's Telemark region. After receiving the intel, the Allies put together a team of nine Norwegian commandos that are tasked with infiltrating the compound and destroying Hitler's nuclear program.

Michael Bay will produce and develop it as a potential directing vehicle. The director most recently helmed Pain & Gain and is currently shooting the sci-fi sequel Transformers: Age of Extinction.

Neal Bascomb is an international best-selling author. His works include Hunting Eichmann, The Perfect Mile, Higher and The New Cool. No production or casting details have been announced.
