P.J. Hogan (Peter Pan ) will direct from a script by Mark Andrus (Georgia Rule). The story follows a self-centered realtor whose life spins out of control when his son unexpectedly drops off a granddaughter. The newly appointed guardian seeks out the help of his daffy neighbor in caring for this young girl he's never met, and the two seniors soon fall in love.
Producer Mark Damon had this to say about the pairing.
"Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton are a perfect pairing as eccentrics who refuse the idea of love until they are hopelessly, inextricably mired in it. How they react to late in life love is hilarious, but moving, entertaining, yet tearfully touching - I must say, I absolutely love this script."
Production is set to being in the late spring of 2013 for a projected 2014 release date.
