The star of a former Showtime mini-series is now joining one of its most popular regular series this upcoming season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sleeper Cell star Michael Ealy has signed on for a guest-starring arc in Californication.

Ealy will star in five episodes of the show's upcoming fourth season and will be playing the new love interest of Natascha McElhone's character. Ealy received a Golden Globe nomination for his leading role in the Showtime mini-series Sleeper Cell.

It was also recently announced that Rob Lowe would also appear as a guest star in the show's new season, playing an actor who wants to play David Duchovny's Hank Moody in a movie. Showtime has not yet announced a Season 4 premiere date for Californication as of yet.
