We finally have a full official trailer for The Flash, the long-awaited superhero movie that's endured multiple delays throughout its production. The film is now set to hit theaters in June, and months ahead of the premiere, DC and Warner Bros. have dropped the new trailer that first aired during the Super Bowl. It's now available to watch online, and you can take a look at it for yourself below.

Of course, the trailer features Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, or we should say as multiple Barry Allens. We're also given our best look yet at Michael Keaton as Batman, though previous teasers have given us sneak peeks at that character's return. But the new ad showcases our first official look at Sasha Calle as Supergirl with her making her debut in that role in this film. While there's been a lot of attention on the Batman-Flash partnership, some fans are even more stoked to see the new footage of Supergirl in action.

You can see some of those fan reactions below.

While it's exciting for many fans to see Supergirl in The Flash with Sasha Calle in the role, it's something that could end up becoming a one-off appearance. The future of Calle in the DCU is unclear following the release of The Flash, as James Gunn and Pefer Safran are essentially rebooting the DC movie slate almost entirely from scratch. It's been suggested that a handful of actors in the DCEU may end up maintaining those roles moving forward, and that even includes The Flash co-star Ezra Miller. But while Gunn and Safran have announced plans to make a film called Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, they've admitted that they're still not sure if Calle will be staying with the role for that project.

“We’re figuring it all out. We don’t know yet,” the two said about Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow's casting. “We’re pretty far away from Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.”

In any case, fans can see Calle taking on the role of Kara Zor-El in The Flash. The film also stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, Michael Keaton as Batman, Ben Affleck as another Batman, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora-Ul, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, and Maribel Verdu as Nora Allen. Andy Muschietti directed the film using a screenpla yby Christina Hodson with a story by John Fracis Daley, Jonathan Goldstein, and Joby Harold.

The Flash will be released in movie theaters on June 16, 2023.
