According to Variety, Michael Madsen is going to star in the low budget zombie film Infected for Verdi-Corrente Productions.

The film will begin shooting in October with Glenn Ciano directing.

Infected focuses on a father and son who must to fight to survive against a deadly, quickly spreading blood virus. Producers are managing partners Chad A. Verdi and Michael Corrente (Assassination Tango).

Verdi-Corrente is in post-production on its first feature, the horror film Inkubus, starring Robert Englund.
