Now that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have gotten Stephen Chow to agree to co-star in, and direct, The Green Hornet, it makes sense that there would be other casting announcements coming at a rapid-fire rate. The first one of those is Michael Pena, who recently told IESB.net that he has been offered a role in the film.

Pena, who was there to discuss The Lucky Ones, would not disclose what role he had been offered in the film. He did, however, say that Rogen and Goldberg are still in the process of writing the film for Sony.

The character was created by Fran Striker and George Trendle, who also created The Lone Ranger. Originally conceived for radio, The Green Hornet has been adapted to film, television and comics.

Stephen Chow will direct the film from a script written by Rogen and Goldberg. Rogen will star as Britt Reid/The Green Hornet, and Chow will co-star as Kato. Expect to see The Green Hornet on June 25, 2010.
