Michael Rappaport is heading to the small screen once again with a new CBS project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rappaport is heading to the network to develop, star and produce a new series with Denis Leary and Jim Serpico's Apostle Pictures.
The series is based off an idea that Rappaport had been thinking about for four years. It will revolve around the lives of New York City social workers and the series will be loosely based of the experiences of a friend of Rappaport, an actualy New York City social worker.
"It will deal with the ups and downs and the goods and bads of what social workers do," Rapaport said. "It's going to be very touching and emotional, as what these characters do is so tough and gritty, but there also will be a lot of room for humor."
Bryan Goluboff will be writing the pilot, which is untitled for now. No production schedule was announced.
