Drama scribe Michael Seitzman has inked a two-year overall deal with ABC Studios, according to Variety.
Seitzman penned two drama scripts that went to pilot last year for ABC Studios: family dynasty drama Empire State for ABC and House Rules, about freshmen lawmakers in Congress, for CBS.
Seitzman said he intends to pen two pilots in the coming development season, and he's in the process of winnowing his candidates from a host of ideas that he's been kicking around to develop under his Michael Seitzman's Pictures banner. He's happy to be back in biz with ABC Studios, saying his experience on Empire State and House Rules was "the single best experience of my career" as a scribe.
Seitzman set his focus on TV last year after most recently working in the feature realm, writing such pics as 2005 Charlize Theron starrer North Country.
