While details aren't completely clear as of yet, it looks like Microsoft is planning on heading to the Blu-Ray camp. According to an article from Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer spoke at the company's Mix08 convention in Las Vegas, and he said that plans for going Blu are already in the works.

"We've already been working on, for example, in Windows, device driver support for Blu-ray drives and the like, and I think the world moves on. Toshiba has moved on. We've moved on, and we'll support Blu-ray in ways that make sense."

It is still unclear if Blu-Ray will be heading to the company's gaming console, the XBox 360. TeamXBox reported a few days ago that Microsoft and Sony were working on a Blu-Ray drive for the XBox 360, but a rep contacted the site and said that, "We have made no such announcement." When asked about Ballmer's comments, a Microsoft spokesperson said that there was "nothing new" about a Blu-Ray XBox 360 add-on.
