Aubrey Plaza has signed on to star in the upcoming 20th Century Fox comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. She joins a cast that includes Zac Efron, Adam DeVine and Anna Kendrick. Aubrey Plaza has previously starred alongside Anna Kendrick in Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World, and the actress recently wrapped production on Dirty Grandpa with Zac Efron.

The story centers on two immature brothers named Mike and Dave (Zac Efron and Adam DeVine), who place an ad online to find dates for an upcoming wedding. The ad goes viral, resulting in the brothers finding a pair of women who can out-party them. While no specific character details are given, it seems likely that Aubrey Plaza and Anna Kendrick are playing the women paired up with Mike and Dave. It isn't known how many other major characters have yet to be cast.

Jake Szymanski (He's F***ing Perfect) is directing from a screenplay by Brendan O'Brien and Andrew J. Cohen (Neighbors). Jonathan Levine is producing alongside Chernin Entertainment's Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping. No production schedule was given. Aubrey Plaza recently wrapped up the final season of NBC's Parks and Recreation, and she currently stars in the indie film Ned Rifle. She will next be seen in Fresno, Playing It Cool and The Driftless Area.
