Back in February, we showed you a first look at what could be one of this summer's most outrageous comedies, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, arriving in theaters July 8. Today, 20th Century Fox has taken things up a notch by releasing an R-rated red band trailer, which features plenty of adult language. Zac Efron teams up with Workaholics star Adam DeVine as the title characters, whose search for dates does not go as planned.

The story centers on hard-partying brothers Mike (Adam Devine) and Dave (Zac Efron), who place an online ad to find the perfect dates (Anna Kendrick, Aubrey Plaza) for their sister's Hawaiian wedding. Hoping for a wild getaway, the boys instead find themselves outsmarted and out-partied by the uncontrollable duo who join them on their adventure. This comedy from 20th Century Fox is slated to hit theaters July 8, going up against the animated comedy The Secret Life of Pets.

Stephen Root, Sugar Lyn Beard, Mary Holland and Alice Wetterlund round out the supporting cast, alongside daytime talk show host Wendy Williams as herself. Jake Szymanski makes his feature directorial debut with Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, after directing several short films and episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, NTSF:SD:SUV:: and Bad Judge. He's directing from a script by Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O'Brien, the writing team behind the comedy hit Neighbors and this year's sequel Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, arriving in theaters May 20.

While we still have a few months to see how Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates fares in theaters, it's worth noting there aren't too many comedies opening in July. Bad Moms opens on July 29, but it's the only straight-up comedy hitting theaters that month. The BFG, The Legend of Tarzan and The Purge 3 debut on July 1, while Ghostbusters, La La Land and The Lake open on July 15. Star Trek Beyond, Ice Age: Collision Course and Lights Out debut on July 22, with Bad Moms and the action-packed Jason Bourne closing out the month on July 29. We'll have to wait and see how this comedy will fare amid this competition in the month of July.

With this stellar cast in place, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates could very well end up being one of this summer's surprise hits at the box office. This red band trailer doesn't feature any nudity, but it is chocked full of R-rated language, most of which comes from Aubrey Plaza and Anna Kendrick, who try to be "respectable as f--k.' Check out this hilarious new footage below, and stay tuned for more from Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.
