After recently reviving Beavis and Butt-Head for Paramount+, there's even more adult animation to come from Mike Judge. Per Deadline, it has just been announced that Judge will next swing on over to NBCUniversal's Peacock to develop the animated series In the Know. The show, which Judge is teaming up with Silicon Valley star Zach Woods to create, has already been given a straight-to-series order on the streaming platform. This marks the first adult animated series for Peacock which enlisted one of the genre's all-time greats in Judge to help get the ball rolling in that department.

The series follows Lauren Caspian, described as NPR's third most popular host. According to a description of the series, Lauren is "a well-meaning, hypocritical nimrod, just like you and me. He’s also a stop motion puppet. Each episode follows the making of an episode of Lauren’s show In the Know, in which Lauren conducts in-depth interviews with real world human guests. Lauren collaborates with a diverse crew of NPR staff. They are also puppets and nimrods."

Judge is executive producing the series alongside his King of the Hill co-creator, Greg Daniels, as well as Woods. Brandon Gardner, a co-creator of In the Know, is also executive producing. Judge and Woods will both be providing voiceovers for characters in the series, while other talents for the voice cast haven't yet been revealed.

In the Know will capture the conversations so many of us have in our daily lives in a heightened, hilarious way,” NBCUniversal Television and Streaming's President of Scripted Content, Lisa Katz, said in a statement. “We’re excited to be working with the very best in the business in Mike, Greg, Zach, and Brandon, and our partners at Universal Television.”

Universal TV President Erin Underhill added, “We’re thrilled to be working on this unique and inventive series with such an accomplished team and can’t wait for audiences to be In the Know."

Mike Judge Brought Back Beavis and Butt-Head

Mike Judge spent some time away with animation, which includes his run working on Silicon Valley for HBO, but he has since jumped back into the genre that made him famous. This year, he resurrected Beavis and Butt-Head, first in the form of an animated movie called Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe that premiered on Paramount+. He has also debuted a new revival series on the streamer called Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head with new episodes arriving every Thursday.

Perhaps enjoying his time back in animation, there had also been reports that Judge was looking to bring back King of the Hill with a separate revival for Fox. It was recently reported that Fox passed on the series, though the door is still open for the potential revival to find a new home elsewhere. But with Judge now moving forward with In the Know at Peacock, maybe the efforts to also bring back Hank Hill and his family have been stalled. In any case, Judge will be keeping busy for the foreseeable future.
