New Line is teaming up with ESPN for the inspirational sports biopic Mulkey, with Mike Tollin attached to direct.

According to Variety, the project follows the story of firefighter Louis Mulkey, who was an assistant high school basketball coach in South Carolina before he and eight others perished in a 2007 fire at a Charleston furniture store. The local fire department presented the team with a custom memorial fire helmet, which was placed on the bench for each of the team's games in the following season -- which saw the team win its first-ever state championship.

Christopher Wilkinson and Stephen Rivele are penning the script.
