Variety reports that Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore are currently in negotiations to star in the English-language remake of L.O.L.: Laughing Out Loud.
Mandate International is taking care of international sales on the project, which original director Lisa Azuelos-Alessandrin is going to write and direct. Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher of Double Feature Films will be producing.
L.O.L.: Laughing Out Loud follows a 15-year-old girl that gets dumped by her more sexually experienced boyfriend. She decides to go out with his best friend. While this is going on, her 40-year-old divorcee mother is trying to move forward with her life.
Pathe released the French version last year which pulled in more than $20 million box office. In that version Sophie Marceau and Christa Theret played the mother and daughter.
