Ming-Na Wen will be joining the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Per Variety, it has been announced that Wen will be honored with her own star on the famous walkway at the end of the month. Wen's star will be the 2,757th to be added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. PT at 6840 Hollywood Boulevard, adjacent to the El Capitan Theatre. Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Steve Nissen will serve as emcee while guest speakers will include the stars of The Joy Luck Club: Tamlyn Tomita, Lauren Tom, and Rosalind Chao.

Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, said in a statement, “Ming-Na Wen has had quite an iconic career! As Mulan, she inspired women everywhere to embrace their inner warrior. She has always been a supporter of and has always believed in lifting female artists especially women of color and we’re excited that we’re able to recognize her achievements on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”

Wen is a trailblazer, as her casting in As the World Turns early in her career marked the first contract role for an Asian American actor in a daytime drama series. She has also been credited for earning roles that were not originally written for Asians, and that includes her role as Dr. Jing-Mei "Deb" Chen on the hit medical drama ER, a character she played for seven years. Wen is also widely known as the voice of Mulan in the Mulan franchise, voicing the character for various projects while making a special appearance in the live-action remake.

Wen has also made a mark in the Marvel world with her role as Agent Melinda May in the ABC series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. That show ran for seven seasons between 2013 and 2020. For this and her role in The Joy Luck Club, Wen was also named a Disney Legend in 2019, another significant honor for the beloved performer.

Meanwhile, Wen has returned to the Disney fold with her role in the Star Wars universe. After appearing in The Mandalorian, Wen reprised her role as Fennec Shand in the spinoff series The Book of Boba Fett. The character is a fan favorite and chances are we haven't seen the last of her in the Star Wars universe yet.

As for where to catch Wen these days, she can be heard as the voice of Fong Wing in the new Max series Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai. An animated series that serves as a prequel to the Gremlins movies by director Joe Dante, Secrets of the Mogwai will premiere on Max on May 23. Wen is also preparing to soon start work on the film Peachville in which she'll star alongside Paul Giamatti and Simon Pegg.
