Miramax has bought the rights to the drama, City of Men, the follow-up to 2002's City of G-d.

The film deals with the same issues as the first pic; however, it doesn't follow same stories, says Variety. The first film followed the turf wars of poor neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro; City of Men examines same issues of survival, politics and loyalty.

City of Men has a 2007 release scheduled.
