Released courtesy of Paramount Pictures, the newly released trailer for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One reveals a little more of what this year’s adventure has in store for Tom Cruise as unstoppable secret agent Ethan Hunt. In Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team embark on their most dangerous mission yet: To track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity before it falls into the wrong hands. With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake, and dark forces from Ethan's past closing in, a deadly race around the globe begins. Confronted by a mysterious, all-powerful enemy, Ethan is forced to consider that nothing can matter more than his mission – not even the lives of those he cares about most.
Written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One finds the likes of Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, and Frederick Schmidt, reprising their roles from various installments in the Mission: Impossible franchise. The sequel will also see Henry Czerny reprise the role of Eugene Kittridge, the former director of the IMF who was last seen in the very first Mission: Impossible way back in 1996.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will throw a bunch of new faces into the action, including Marvel stars Hayley Atwell and Pom Klementieff, as well as Shea Whigham, Esai Morales, Rob Delaney, Charles Parnell, Indira Varma, Mark Gatiss, and Cary Elwes.
Mission: Impossible 7 Promises to Provide Some of the Biggest Stunts of Tom Cruise’s Career
Hollywood legend Tom Cruise has become just as well-known for his death-defying stunts as he has for his acting, with the Mission: Impossible franchise upping the ante more and more with every installment. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is no exception, in fact it will be the most death-defying in the series so far.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will see Cruise carry out "the biggest stunt in cinema history,” which finds the actor leaping out of a helicopter, opening his parachute for a safe landing (it’s somewhat surprising that he even uses a parachute at this stage), before driving a motorcycle at high speed off a ramp that happens to be placed at the edge of a cliff. Ditching the motorcycle as he plummets through the air, the final part of the stunt finds Cruise falling into a base jump.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is scheduled for release in the United States on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, by Paramount Pictures. A further sequel, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two, is set to be released on June 28, 2024.
