This past weekend, at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival in Portland, Oregon, fans were given a surprise look at ten minutes of footage for a proposed Mnemovore film, starring Kristen Bell (Heroes), according to Comics 2 Film.

Mnemovore is based on the mini-series of the same name from DC Comics' Vertigo imprint. It tells the story of a professional snow boarder who suffers an accident which gives her amnesia. This amnesia puts her in the position to battle an ancient entity which feeds on the memories of mankind.

The footage was produced by Hans Rodionoff, a comic creator and independent film-maker. Rodionoff told fans that Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth) is on board as Executive Producer, and that the footage was taken to show del Toro that Rodionoff would be able to direct. There was no confirmation that Bell would be in the actual film.
