Ordering custom birthday cakes isn't usually a problem. However, there are misunderstandings from time to time, especially when taking orders over the phone. A Dairy Queen in Milledgeville, Georgia was tasked with making a Moana-themed ice cream cake, but ended up swapping the Disney theme for marijuana. Kensli Davis, who says her favorite movie is Disney's animated Moana, just had a very memorable 25th birthday party when her mother brought home the custom marijuana cake and had a pretty good laugh at the misunderstanding. Davis had this to say on social media.

"My mama called and ordered me a cake telling them how much I loved Moana. (Because really I do) Well needless to say these people thought she said marijuana. That ice cream cake was still good though."

Kensli Davis' mother called the local Dairy Queen and innocently ordered the Moana ice cream cake. Instead, she was given a cake with a giant marijuana leaf next to a green My Little Pony with bloodshot eyes exhaling some smoke. It's not clear where the Pony part comes into play. As to how this could have happened, Davis had this to say.

"I think they thought that she said 'marijuana' because we are from south Georgia and kind of have an accent. So, 'Moana,' marijuana?"

According to Kensli Davis, "The whole family thought it was the funniest thing ever and said it would definitely (be) a birthday to remember." Davis says her mother thought it was "hysterical" and the Dairy Queen employee responsible for the work of art apologized and offered to make a replacement cake. Davis and her family declined the offer since it was such a good cake.

However, the Dairy Queen employee who made the marijuana cake isn't laughing. Cassandra Walker, who has two children, was given the okay from her manager to make the cake. With that being said, she was fired after the marijuana mistake went viral. Walker was fired from Dairy Queen on Monday, which just happened to be her birthday. Walker says, "It's not funny to me. This is back-to-school time. I have two little girls here..." She then went on to detail how she made the custom cake while her manager watched. She explains.

"The manager stood behind me while I pulled the images off the internet. She walked by as I decorated the cake. As I boxed the cake up, she was the one who walked it up to the front."

Dairy Queen released a statement over the marijuana cake and said they offered to make replacement, which Kensli Davis confirmed and declined to take. But, their statement does not mention anything about Cassandra Walker being terminated for what Dairy Queen calls a "simple misunderstanding" in their statement. It seems a bit unfair for Walker to be fired if it was just a "simple misunderstanding." Hopefully she will get her job back after all of this blows over.
