As promised by Dwayne Johnson on Twitter earlier this week, a new trailer for Disney's upcoming animated movie Moana has surfaced online. This new animated movie looks to follow in the recent success of Disney's animated movies like Zootopia and Frozen, which it very well should be able to do. The movie features a stellar voice cast that includes Johnson as well as newcomer Auliʻi Cravalho.

Earlier this week, Dwayne Johnson exclusively debut the new poster for Moana on Twitter, promising that second trailer would be out today. The all-new footage debuted on Good Morning America, as was stated in his announcement, and shortly afterward Disney put this thrilling sneak peek up online for everyone to see. Good Morning America has a good track record with Disney, having also debuted the first teaser trailer for the upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast earlier this year. Dwayne Johnson is making it a habit to break news on his social media accounts, as he has a massive following and is very engaged with his fans.

Moana tells the story of an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (Auliʻi Cravalho} meets the mighty demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she's always sought: her own identity.

Disney has already had a tremendous year at the box office and they are hoping to keep up that streak with Moana. Their original animated feature Zootopia went on to gross more than $1 billion worldwide this year, making it the second highest-grossing movie of 2016, trailing only Captain America: Civil War. It doesn't hurt that Dwayne Johnson has an incredible track record of box office success, rarely encountering a flop in his career, especially as of late. Not to mention that he is known for being able to breathe new life into franchises. He is arguably the biggest movie star in the world right now and Disney is definitely the most dominant studio in Hollywood at the moment, so expectations are surely high.

Moana is set to hit theaters on November 23. The movie stars Dwayne Johnson, Auliʻi Cravalho, Alan Tudyk, Jemaine Clement, Nicole Scherzinger, Temuera Morrison and Rachel House. Be sure to check out the new trailer and poster for Moana as it sets sail for the Realm of Monsters. We also have a new photo featuring this animated adventure's two heroes.
