Monsters vs. AliensOne of the biggest animated films debuted in a big way on DVD and Blu-ray this past week. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Monsters vs. Aliens took the top spot in all three home video charts this week, sweeping the DVD sales, rentals and Blu-ray sales for the week ending October 4.

Despite the dominance of the DreamWorks Animation hit, a 70-year-old cinematic classic made some waves on the charts as well. Wizard of Oz was re-released in a 70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition and the new DVD set took second place in DVD sales behind Monsters vs. Aliens. The film's new Blu-ray edition took second place on the BD sales charts as well.

The only other notable release on the charts was the animated direct-to-DVD title Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, which took third place in DVD sales.
