It looks like the new Alien box set, titled Alien Quadrilogy, will expand on what was already a decent release from a few years back. This new set will give the same treatment that Aliens got in the previous release to the rest of the films in the series. The set will include 9 discs, each film getting two each, while the ninth disc will include the documentary Alien Legacy as well as more supplemental material.

With each film getting its own two-disc release, one will contain the movie and audio commentaries, while the second will contain the specific supplemental material for that respective film. A great addition to this release is the ability to watch either the director's cut of each of these film, or the theatrical release, an option many director's cut DVD releases don't allow.

No price tag has been announced, or a firm street date, but you can look for it sometime in late 2003.
