Morgan Freeman is set to star in the drama, The Feast of Love for Lakeshore Entertainment.

The film is based on a Charles Baxter novel, that according to The Hollywood Reporter, revolves around a community of friends in Oregon and is described as an exploration of the magical, mysterious and sometimes painful incarnations of love. Freeman will play philosophy professor Harry Scott.

Oscar-winner Robert Benton (Kramer vs. Kramer) recently signed on to direct the Allison Burnett-written screenplay; The Feast of Love is scheduled to begin shooting in August.
