Summary
Dead for a Dollar is a western thriller set at the end of the 1800s in a New Mexico territory starring Christoph Waltz as Max Borlund, a bounty hunter on the hunt for a missing woman. Nathan Price hires Max to find his wife, Rachel Price (Rachel Brosnahan), who is supposedly being held for ransom in Mexico. Max investigates the alleged kidnapper, Elijah Jones (Brandon Scott), and uncovers some shocking revelations. However, this job becomes more than he bargained for when he's faced with scars from his past - an old foe named Joe Cribbens (Willem Dafoe) he put away years prior is back. Joe's goals are simple - revenge and to impede his bounty. Dead for a Dollar premiered on September 6 2022, at the Venice Film Festival and will release nationwide on September 30 2022.
