Although it only ran for four seasons between 1995 and 1998, Mr. Show with Bob and David has gained a devoted cult following. Mr. Show writer/star Paul F. Tompkins sent out a photo to his Twitter followers earlier today, teasing "something new from the Mr. Show gang in the new year." Naturally, 2015 would be the perfect time for Mr. Show to come back in some incarnation, since it marks the 20th anniversary of the series' debut, but we have no further details at this time.

The photo features Paul F. Tompkins flanked by Scott Aukerman, Jay Johnston, Eric Hoffman, Bill Odenkirk, Brian Posehn and series creators/stars Bob Odenkirk and David Cross. It isn't exactly clear why this group is all together, who all either wrote and/or starred in Mr. Show, but there are several pens and pads of paper seen in the image, leading some to believe they are currently working on a new series, movie or another collaboration like a live stage show.

Other notable Mr. Show cast members and writers include Sarah Silverman, Jack Black, Tom Kenny, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Jerry Minor and Dino Stamatopoulos. There have been several smaller reunions throughout the years, most notably last year's six-city live tour, but the group has promised a larger anniversary tour in 2015. The reunion talk first started last year, when Bob Odenkirk and David Cross released a book entitled Hollywood Said No!, which includes screenplays from their unproduced movies. Could this be what the group is working on in the photo below? Check it out, and chime in with your thoughts.
