Marvel Entertainment has just released a new TV spot for Ms. Marvel, bringing with it some new footage not in the official trailer. The series is set to hit Disney+ in June, introducing Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan and establishing Ms. Marvel as the MCU's newest superhero. You can take a look at the new teaser trailer below.

Ms. Marvel is developed for Disney+ by Bisha K. Ali and is based on characters from Marvel Comics. Along with Vellani, the series stars Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, and Matt Lintz. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah directed the pilot and finale episodes. You can read a logline below.

Marvel Studios' Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn't fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she's always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?

The series will also help set up Vellani's appearance on the big screen as a part of the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels. That movie, due to hit theaters in February 2023, will team up Vellani's Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel alongside Brie Larson's Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel and Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau from WandaVision. Samuel L. Jackson also stars in the film as Nick Fury while several stars of Ms. Marvel are also expected to reprise their roles.

Iman Vellani makes her acting debut with Ms. Marvel. The actress has spoken out about how she sees the importance of this new role in the MCU, as it establishes a superhero who's both Muslim and Pakistani. Vellani also suggests that these are things that are naturally addressed in the show and she hopes that this will serve as an inspiration for others.

"The fact that the show is being made and they're including this character in the MCU is [what's important]," Vellani previously told Variety. "I don't really have to go out of my way and talk about being a Muslim and being Pakistani – it all comes out in the show. People seeing a person like me involved in a project as big as this is, I think, inspiring enough."

Ms. Marvel is set to premiere on Disney+ on June 8, 2022. After the six-episode series runs its course, fans can look forward to seeing Vellani take the character to the big screen next year when The Marvels hits movie theaters on Feb. 17, 2023. Chances are we will be seeing more of Vellani elsewhere for some time to come following her establishment as a star on both the big and small screens, but for now, she's enjoying her time as the MCU's newest superhero.
