MTV will air the 90-minute exclusive documentary about Britney Spears, Britney: For the Record, where she talks about her dark moments in the spotlight.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the documentary airs Nov. 30, and documents a three-month period of Spears' life earlier this year, including sessions for her upcoming Jive album, "Circus," and preparations for her appearance on the MTV Video Music Awards.

An MTV spokesperson says "no topic was off limits" during the interviews.

"I sit there and I look back and I'm like: 'I'm a smart person. What the hell was I thinking?' " Spears says at one point. "I've been through a lot in the past two or three years, and there's a lot that people don't know."

"Circus" is due Dec. 2 via Jive. Lead single "Womanizer" debuted this week at No. 26 on the Mainstream Top 40 chart, No. 96 on the Billboard Hot 100 and moved 44-32 on the Pop 100 in its second week on the chart. It should rise substantially on the Hot 100 next week, after its first round of digital sales are factored in. It was the top-selling track at the iTunes Store as of Thursday night.

The "Womanizer" video premieres Friday on ABC's "20/20."
