Last week, ABC decided to show fans the 10-minute pilot presentation video that helped secure a series order for The Muppets, debuting September 22. Today, the network has released five new posters, featuring the beloved characters Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and Gonzo. The posters poke fun at the fact that this show will feature Kermit the Frog "full-frontal nudity," while Miss Piggy takes a selfie, Fozzie Bear tries "manscaping" and Gonzo works the phones while clutching a script.

The Muppets return to primetime with a contemporary, documentary-style show. For the first time ever, a series will explore the Muppets' personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, breakups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires. This is a more adult Muppet show, for "kids" of all ages. Along with Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and Gonzo, the show will feature a slew of other Muppets characters, so we could be seeing several more character posters as we get closer to the September debut.

The pilot presentation video even included a few celebrity cameos such as Elizabeth Banks and Topher Grace. It isn't known if that 10-minute video will be incorporated into the actual pilot episode that debuts in September, or if there will be any other celebrity cameos throughout the first season. Since the show is set in Hollywood, there will be plenty of opportunities for movie and TV stars to pop up. The video also features Margo Harshman as Fozzie's girlfriend Becky, Jere Burns as Becky's father and Meagan Fay as Becky's mother, but it remains to be seen if they will have regular roles on the show.

Bill Prady and Bob Kushell co-wrote and executive produced the pilot, which was directed by Randall Einhorn. Bill Barretta, Debbie McClellan and Kyle Laughlin also serve as executive producers. The Muppets debuts Tuesday, September 22 at 8 PM ET, kicking off the network's Tuesday night lineup, which also includes Fresh Off the Boat, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Quantico.

Do you think The Muppets will be the breakout comedy series hit this season for ABC? These characters are certainly more beloved than ever, coming off the hit movies The Muppets in 2011 and Muppets Most Wanted in 2014. Hopefully we'll get to see some new footage soon, but until then, check out these character posters below, featuring some of your favorite Muppets.
