Fans of My Name Is Earl can expect a DVD only episode in the forthcoming first season set.

In a story from Home Media Retailing, the Sept. 5 release will contain "an entirely new episode created specifically for the DVD."

Playing as "an alternate to the pilot," this episode sees "Earl not repenting for his misdeeds. Instead, he decides to get back at anyone who's ever wronged him."

According to Ethan Suplee, Earl's brother on the show, the bonus episode took four days to create. Also, since this new episode will only be available in the four disc set they had more latitude with the storylines and the things characters could say.

Other extras in the My Name Is Earl set "include commentaries, deleted scenes, a featurette and a blooper reel."

My Name Is Earl: The Complete First Season will sell for $49.98.
