A Korean filmmaker is turningn to murder for his next project. According to Variety, Korean writer/director Na Hong-Jin will write and direct his new film, The Murderer.
The film revolves around a mann who must turn to murder to overcome starvation. The Korean company IM Pictures will invest, but a budget or cast has not been set yet.
Na's first film, The Chaser, was a surprising success, which caused Warner Bros. to snatch up the rights for an English-language remake that could possibly star Leonardo DiCaprio. The film will have its international premiere at this year's Cannes Film Festival, in a midnight selection screening.
Na said he will finish the script for The Murderer when he gets back from Cannes.
