Accused child murderer Casey Anthony tells her side of the story in a new Peacock docuseries, but that's not to say everyone believes it. Infamously, Anthony was accused of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee, but she was ultimately acquitted of the crime. Regardless, it's safe to say that the majority of the public believes that the jury got it wrong, feeling that Anthony got away with murder. In her new docuseries, dubbed Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies, Anthony sits down for her first on-camera interview since her acquittal in 2011, continuing to profess her innocence.

During Anthony's first-degree murder trial, the accused killer dubbed "Tot Mom" had gotten a lot of coverage by TV personality Nancy Grace. Ahead of the Peacock doc's premiere, Grace condemned Peacock for giving Anthony a platform, revealing that she turned down an offer to participate in the series. After the premiere, Grace again touched on Where the Truth Lies in an interview with Extra, and she tells Billy Bush that there's nothing Anthony says in the docuseries that makes the alleged child killer appear to be any less guilty.

One example would be the claim made in the doc that Anthony's father is responsible for Caylee's death. Anthony says she was woken up and shown her daughter's lifeless body by her father, who then told her that it was "going to be okay" before taking the young girl away. Casey claims she went to stay with her then-boyfriend and continued to party with friends in the following weeks as she "genuinely believed Caylee was still alive." It's a claim that Grace isn't buying for one second.

“It changes nothing. She would have us believe that for the next 30 plus days that her father was calling her and giving her instructions as to how to behave? That doesn’t make sense.”

In response to Anthony's allegation that she may have also been acting irrationally due to trauma endured from her father allegedly abusing her as a child, Grace turns the focus back onto the death of Caylee, insinuating that Casey Anthony is responsible for her daughter's death regardless of those sexual assault claims.

"I'm not talking about sex assault. I'm talking about murdering a little child."

Would Nancy Grace Personally Interview the 'Tot Mom?'

Grace also takes aim at Anthony's legal team, suggesting that "everyone in this case has made a fortune off the body of Caylee Anthony." She remains adamant that there's no doubt whatsoever that young Caylee was killed by her mother, adding that she is "one hundred percent" sure about her guilt. Grace seems open to interviewing Anthony herself if she were to theoretically be given the opportunity, but she suggests that it wouldn't happen as she'd be a much tougher interview than the Peacock series.

"I don't know. I don't think Tot Mom Casey Anthony would sit still for me to cross-examine her. I don't think that will ever happen."
