Flower Films' own Nancy Juvonen and Drew Barrymore have picked up the rights to Liz Tuccillo's best selling novel How to Be Single. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the duo plan on producing the film, which will be adapted by Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn for New line Cinema.

The original book followed the lives of five single women living in New York City. One of them is writing a book about the working class nature of today's Bachelorette. She sets out on a worldwide trip in support of the book and ends up getting involved in an international affair, while her four friends stay back home and battle it out on the big city dating scene.

The film does not have a set start date at this time, but the film should be ready by late 2009.
