Nat Christian is going to be writing and producing the film 700 Hill. According to Variety, this will be the first release for newly minted indie production company Monterrey Pictures.

The film revolves around a newly immigrated Mexican family and the Appalachian woman who marries into it. They all work in a coal mine sometime in the early 1940s. The grandmother of David Mendez, head of Monterrey Pictures, inspired the story.

The film will most likely go into production before the end of the year.
