It seems that a popular police procedural will be getting some help from an Oceanic Flight 815 passenger. According to TV Guide, Lost stars Naveen Andrews has signed on for a guest-starring role on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

It wasn't immediately clear who Andrews would portray in the series, but the site learned that Andrews' episode will be filming in New York City as early as next week.

Andrews plays Sayid Jarrah on Lost, which is still shooting its final season in Hawaii, and a source indicated to the site that they were currently in production of the sixth episode of the 18-episode order. There was speculation that Andrews could be already finished with the series, but, due to the structure of the show where not every lead actor appears in every episode, Andrews could return after the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit to film more Lost.
