NBC has picked up a new drama project from actor Jamie Foxx entitled Tommy's Little Girl, which is described as a cross between La Femme Nikita and The Sopranos.

Deadline reports that the project was acquired based off the strength of a trailer that Foxx shot with Selma Blair, Paul Sorvino, Tony Sirico and James Russo. The story centers on Selma Blair's character, who was raised by a mafia family and forced into hiding at an orphanage after a rival mob slaughters her entire family. She grows up to be a lawyer by day and a trained killer by night, as she avenges her family's death and seeks out her last surviving relative. Jorge Zamacona will write the pilot script, and will executive produce along with Foxx and Deon Taylor. The actors from the trailer are all attached to the project, although their deals aren't in place yet.

The site also reports that NBC has landed another pilot entitled Life Is Good, from creators Chris Pappas and Mike Bernier, along with The Hangover 2 writer Scot Armstrong. The story centers on Andy, a husband and father of two daughters whose life is turned upside down when he meets Dru, his 19-year-old mixed-race son that he never knew he had. Andy's over-enthusiasm about having a son is a bit too much for Dru to take in.

We'll be sure to keep you posted on both of these NBC projects as soon as we have more information.
