It seems that a popular NBC crime procedural will return, although there is still some work left to be done. According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has renewed Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for an 11th season.

Despite the renewal, series stars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni still haven't inked deals to return, although it was said the actors have just started negotiations with the network last week.

Hargitay and Meloni both signed two-year deals in 2007, deals that were good for $350,000 per episode for each star, but with the networks slashing budgets, it's unclear if that rate will go up for the stars.
