Walking Tall: Neal McDonough has joined Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (soon to be seen in Welcome To The Jungle, with Seann William Scott and Christopher Walken) in MGM's updated version of the 1973 actioner Walking Tall for director Kevin Bray and Hyde Park Entertainment. Shooting is scheduled to start in July.

Walking Tall centers on a Tennessee sheriff (Johnson) and his one-man mission to remove corruption from his county. McDonough will play Hamilton, the main nemesis to Johnson's character and the man at the center of the corruption. David Klass wrote the update of the project.

McDonough is best known for his role on the TV show "Boomtown" and the film Ravenous, as well as roles in Steven Spielberg's Minority Report and Band of Brothers. He will next be seen in Richard Donner's Timeline alongside Paul Walker (Joy Ride) and Gerard Butler (Dracula 2000).
