The New York Toy Fair has been releasing all kinds of cool toy news, but the new IT action figure featuring Tim Curry as the 90s Pennywise has to be one of the better things unveiled thus far. Curry's Pennywise hasn't been talked about as much over the last several months since Andres Muschietti's big screen adaptation of the iconic Stephen King novel came out, introducing the world to a new Pennywise the Dancing Clown played by Bill Skarsgård. However, for some, Tim Curry will always be the definitive Pennywise.

NECA's miniseries version of Pennywise action figure is now on display at the New York Toy Fair for all to see. It's not clear if he floats, but it has an incredible likeness to Tim Curry. The 7" action figure comes with an iconic red balloon, 4 interchangeable heads, and demonic clown claws. According to the press release, the Tim Curry Pennywise figure also comes with a noisemaker. Everything you need to feel smack in the middle of the original IT movie.

"Based on Tim Curry's portrayal of the terrifying clown, this 7" scale figure is faithful to his on-screen appearance and packed with detail and accessories. Pennywise is fully articulated and features a total of four interchangeable heads, plus alternate monster hands, noisemaker, bunch of balloons and paper boat. Comes in collector-friendly deluxe window box packaging with opening flap."

The NECA Pennywise figure is a must have for IT fans and might influence people to go back and watch the 1990 miniseries to prepare for the release of the upcoming big screen sequel. The toy company also announced action figures for the Bill Skarsgård version of Pennywise and they're just as cool looking and detailed. The new version of Pennywise comes with 3 interchangeable heads, another pair of hands, and Georgie's paper sailboat.

Now IT fans can finally have the ultimate battle to end all battles between Tim Curry's Pennywise and Bill Skarsgard's version of the character. A stop motion battle will more than likely be made by some fans, like the old MTV Celebrity Death Match show. This battle would be perfect for the defunct show, but we'll have to wait for some fans to take the time to do it now. Who would win in that battle? The edge might have to go to Tim Curry just for that behind-the-scenes image of him smoking a cigarette in full makeup.

The Tim Curry version of Pennywise action figure will reportedly be available in August of this year, but it isn't clear when the Bill Skarsgard version will hit the shelves. They might both be coming out in August, but NECA has yet to confirm this, so hopefully they'll make an announcement soon.
