Actor Neil Patrick Harris will make his feature directorial debut with the new teen comedy Aaron and Sarah, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Emma Roberts and Josh Hutcherson are attached to star in the movie, which follows a relationship through all four years of high school.

Pushing Daisies writers Chad Gomez Creasey and Dara Resnik Creasey wrote the script, which follows Emma Roberts and Josh Hutcherson's characters as they become friends during their freshman year of high school. We follow their relationship throughout the years, which includes four proms and one funeral, until graduation day.

David O. Russell had previously been attached to direct the movie, but, as we reported last week, he will now direct Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. No production schedule was released for this new teen comedy.
