Back in February, author Alice Oseman announced that the end is near for Charlie and Nick’s love story. After announcing that volume five of the graphic novel is coming this november, Oseman revealed that the sixth volume of the story would be the last one, probably coming out next year.

The first season of Netflix’s adaptation of Heartstopper followed Charlie, a recently out of the closet gay teenager who has been through a rough time since coming out. Although his closest friends and family support him, things have not been easy at school.

Everything changes when he meets Nick Nelson, the rugby team star. Charlie and Nick develop a sweet friendship that slowly becomes something else. While Charlie tries not to mess their friendship with his feelings for Nick, the latter begins a journey of self-discovery after realizing he has a crush on his friend.

After their first kids, they start a secret relationship that will put Charlie in a difficult situation with his friends, especially since Nick is not ready to come out yet. But together they face every obstacle and prove that love can fight the hardest battles.
