In line with Netflix's two-decade legacy of rom-com shows, the streaming service is eager to present a charming romance story to the couples who enjoy watching them on Valentine's Day. While several rom-coms were released in 2022, including Falling for Christmas, A Perfect Pairing, and The Royal Treatment, it is time to look ahead to what Netflix has in store for 2023. Just in time, it led us to a lovely rom-com set in 2003.

In Love All Over Again is a brand-new Spanish rom-com created by Carlos Montero, the acclaimed series Elite creator. With an eight-episode run, the series might well be perfect for a Valentine's Day binge. Viewers are excited about what the series will bring after Netflix released a new teaser. While it stays on debate until the series premieres, here's everything we know about the upcoming Spanish romantic comedy In Love All Over Again.

In Love All Over Again: The Plot

As seen in the teaser, In Love All Over Again tells the story of a couple, Julio and Irene, who used to be complete strangers until they met at a movie premiere on a beautiful day in 2003 Madrid and quickly discovered their attraction to each other. When Irene, the young student, decides to make a short film and meets Julio, she not only convinces him to star in it but also falls in love with him.

Their love story, however, is not one in which the protagonists marry after a few disagreements and understandings, but rather one in which they realize the true meaning of love and what it means to fall in love over and over again. In 2021 following the time skip, Irene tells their love story as she writes something on her laptop, and whether it's a happy ending or a heartbreaking one remains to be seen.

While the plot described above is based solely on the teaser, the official synopsis released by Netflix's YouTube channel is as follows.

"In Love All Over Again is not one of those love stories in which the protagonists get married after many disagreements. No. It's one of those where you discover that love is something else. Irene and Julio, both in their early twenties, meet at a movie premiere. That night Irene and Julio will end up in bed, and it won't be the last time."

Although the series appears to be a typical Netflix rom-com at first glance, the teaser's time jump of 18 years speaks otherwise, as it provides a new flavor to the premise. Overall, we can expect some dramatic moments as well as notable chemistry between the two leads.
