There has been a lot published about Netflix and its loss of over 200,000 subscribers during the first quarter of 2022. What's more, according to Variety, the streaming platform is expected to lose 2 million more in the next quarter. The news comes after Netflix's recently announced endeavor to crack down on password-sharing between its subscribers. Ultimately, many wonder if there's a direct correlation between the loss of subscribers and the streaming platform constantly canceling its original series.

Depsite all the fuss, there are still many shows to be excited about that are coming to Netflix in May 2022. From the highly anticipated fourth season of Stranger Things to the upcoming Korean drama The Sound of Magic, here's a look at the best TV series to watch out for.

The Circle, Season 4 — May 4

Based on a British TV series of the same name, The Circle is a reality program grounded on the basis of social media. The premise is centered around the concept that everyone can be anyone if they have high social media ratings. It's terrifyingly similar to one of the Black Mirror episodes titled "Nosedive". But, for avid lovers of reality type of shows, this is the perfect next target for your obsession. The fourth season of The Circle is coming to Netflix on May 4th, 2022.

Blood Sisters — May 5

Get ready for Netflix's first original Nigerian series Blood Sisters. Set in Lagos, the limited series is labeled as a crime thriller. The reason for the label is its premise, which says that the story is centered around a Nigerian wedding, where, tired of getting domestically abused by her partner, the bride accidentally kills the groom prior to their big day. The show will explore issues of family relationships, substance abuse, and many more. Make sure to support the series once it releases on May 5th of 2022.

The Sound Of Magic — May 6

The lovers of K-dramas will certainly get their fair share of new excitement as well. May 6, 2022 will bring us a fantasy drama The Sound of Magic based on a Naver webtoon, centered around mysterious magician Lee Eul who, out of nowhere, appears in the lives of a girl who lost her a dream and a boy who is forced to dream. Workin’ Moms, Season 6 — May 10

This CBS original Canadian sitcom Workin' Moms had its premiere in 2017. It was only after it reached season three that the series had a global premiere on Netflix and has been airing on the platform ever since. The sitcom tells the story of five women who go through the everyday struggles of being working moms. The Lincoln Lawyer — May 13

This upcoming legal television series is based on the 2008 novel The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly. Don't get it confused with the 2011 movie starring Matthew McConaughey, though. The Lincoln Lawyer focuses on Mickey Haller, a defense attorney based in Los Angeles who, instead of working in his office, does his business from his Lincoln Town Car.
