Netflix is going Fish-ing! Sort of.

In an article from Variety, the DVD by mail renter's subsidiary Red Envelope Entertainment has obtained "North American rights for I'm Reed Fish and tapped Screen Media to handle its theatrical release."

I'm Reed Fish is based on the writer's (Reed Fish) "experiences growing up in a small town." The film will star "Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls), Jay Baruchel and Schuyler Fisk. It was directed by Zackary Adler."

The plan is for a limited release of the film on June 1 "and then expand nationally under Screen Media's output deal with Universal Studios Home Entertainment."
