Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is just over a month away, and that means it is time for a new trailer from Marvel Studios. The Paul Rudd-led MCU movie has a lot of expectations riding on it, with Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, and Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, aka Wasp, heading deeper than ever into the Quantum Realm and discovering the biggest threat to the MCU’s future since Thanos in the form of Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror. Check out the new look at Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania below.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang, and Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror. Additionally, Bill Murray, Randall Park, and William Jackson Harper will also appear in the “Avengers-level” outing for Rudd’s size-shifting hero.

The official synopsis of the movie teases a big adventure that promises to push boundaries like no other Ant-Man movie. It reads:

"In the film, which officially kicks off phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope's parents Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible."

After growing up during the Blip, Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie is ready to follow her dad into the world of superheroes. Played this time around by MCU newcomer Kathryn Newton, Quantumania director Peyton Reed recently explained how Cassie is about to play a big role in Scott Lang’s story arc.

"When Paul and I started on the first movie, it was the question of, will audiences accept Paul Rudd as a superhero? Will people accept Ant-Man, a guy who shrinks and controls ants, as a character? And they have. And that's really gratifying, and I think audiences really relate to Scott Lang because he doesn't have superpowers, he's not a super-scientist, he's not a billionaire. He's a regular person who just happens to get caught up in these adventures.

But I think we've all grown and what we want to do with the movies and how we see the character, the family dynamics, to us, after the events of [Avengers: Infinity War] and Endgame, it really occurred to us, obviously, 'Well, Cassie's going to be 18 in this movie, that's great.' The whole theme is time and how much time he's missed, and his main motivation is just, 'I want time with my daughter.' And now he's coming into contact with a villain in this movie, Kang the Conqueror, who has dominion over time, and what does that mean to them?"

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is released on February 17, 2023.
