After a constant barrage of set photos from Margot Robbie’s Barbie movie, the latest leak from the shoot has revealed a first look at Will Ferrell’s suited toy company owner. Following the many images of Robbie’s Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken, the new images seem to show Ferrell’s character in pursuit of Barbie with cohorts in tow. These images have led to speculation that Ferrell’s toy company CEO could well be the movie's villain with devious intentions for Barbie and Ken, which could lead to the many meta-theories doing the rounds about how multiple Barbies and Kens end up appearing in the movie.Barbie has been in development for over a decade, but after struggling to find ground at Sony, the movie was taken over by Warner Bros. who seem to have wasted little time in bringing the project into production with some surprisingly strong talent in front and behind the camera. This includes Robbie, Gosling, and Ferrell being joined by America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon, and more, while Oscar nominee Greta Gerwig is taking on directorial duties. If nothing else, this ensemble alone has made the movie an intriguing future release. While we still await plot details, the almost constant stream of set photos and video has started to give some idea of the movie's tone.In the newest images shared on Twitter, Ferrell continues to tap into Barbie’s pink theme, sporting a light pink shirt and hot pink tie with his black suit. While one of the images seems to show Ferrell alongside what could be his stunt double for the sequence, the second image shows the actor in action looking to be shouting out instructions to his minion – not those minions! Check out the photos below.

Margot Robbie Wants To Surprise People With Barbie

While it may be a tall ask, blonde, slim bubbly Margot Robbie has said that she wants to take the movie in a different direction than the one people expect. However, so far, the set photos and videos seem to have delivered pretty much the kind of Barbie that everyone would expect Robbie to play. Although the storyline of the movie could delve into a meta world where Barbie and Ken are being hunted down by a crazed toy company owner, it looks like for at least some of the action we will be seeing a quintessential Barbie portrayal.

"We like the things that feel a little left of center," Robbie said in a previous interview. "Something like Barbie where the IP, the name itself, people immediately have an idea of, 'Oh, Margot is playing Barbie, I know what that is,' but our goal is to be like, 'Whatever you’re thinking, we’re going to give you something totally different — the thing you didn’t know you wanted.'”

All will no doubt be revealed in time, and with the movie not heading to cinemas until Jul. 21, 2023, there is still some way to go before we see an official trailer and find out a full synopsis for the film.
