It was announced last week that the final installment of an immensely popular vampire film series will be split into two films and over the weekend, the screenwriter of the film series gave some more details. Sci Fi Wire recently spoke to The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who revealed some details on where the story from this final novel will be split for the two films. Here's an excerpt from the site's article. Be warned, though, if you haven't read all of the books in the series, the rest of this article does contain spoilers for the film, so read at your own risk.

"Nothing has actually been decided, but the natural split is somewhere between she's human in movie 1, she's a vampire [in movie 2]," Rosenberg told a group of reporters on June 12 in Beverly Hills, Calif. "She's human and pregnant in one, she's a vampire and a parent in two. Bill Condon has been looking at that from a visual standpoint, so that's a natural. That said, there's a lot of room about where that moment is."

Rosenberg also spoke about devoting more attention to the supporting characters in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2.

"They're very dense with mythology, a lot of characters, a lot of detail," Rosenberg said of the books. "It's just really who do you choose to pull forward. More backstories to come, but there's more and more an expansion of the mythology. All these different characters are being introduced, and Stephenie's developed a really intricate mythology, very detailed, which is why it's so much fun to play in her world."
